Year of Establishment & Affiliation

Established in 1986, the institution was initially affiliated with Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. Since 1988, it has been affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, one of the premier medical universities in India.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission must have successfully completed the +2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology / Botany & Zoology as core subjects.

NEET appearance is mandatory for admission eligibility.

Course Duration

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy program is a 5-year degree course, comprising:

• 4 Years of Academic Study
• 1 Year Compulsory Rotatory Internship

• First Year - Human Anatomy (HA), Human Physiology, Biochemistry, Fundamentals of exercise Modalities, Fundamentals of Electro Physical Agents, Psychology & Sociology, Fundamentals of Healthcare delivery System In India, English, Information Technology, Clinic Orientation.
• Second Year - Pathology & Microbiology, Pharmacology, Public Health & Health Promotion, Emergency Care and life support Skills, Exercise therapy, Electrotherapy, Biomechanics & Kinesiology, Yoga and Systems of Medicine, Clinical Observation.
• Third Year - General Medicine and Pediatrics, General Surgery, Physiotherapy in Adult and Pediatric Medical and Surgical Conditions, Physiotherapy in Adult and Pediatric Orthopedics Conditions, Physical & functional Diagnosis & Prescription, Research Methodology , Biostatistics and Evidence Based Practice, Clinical Education.
• Fourth Year - Neurology, Psychiatry and Neurosurgery, Physiotherapy in Adult and Pediatric Neurological and Neurosurgical conditions, Cardiothoracic diseases and surgeries, Physiotherapy in Adult and Pediatric Cardiothoracic conditions and Surgical Conditions, Sports Physiotherapy & Exercise Prescription, Ethics, Medico Legal aspects, Management &Administration, Community Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, Project Work Orientation, Clinical Rotation.
• BPT Internship (1 year) - Department wise Rotatory posting during B.P.T. Internship at our own Hospital (Sri Ramakrishna Multispecialty 1009 Bedded Hospital)

Internship Training

Students undergo a nOne-year Clinical Rotatory Internship at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, where they receive extensive clinical exposure across various departments. During the internship, students are trained under the guidance of experienced doctors and senior physiotherapy professionals, enhancing their practical and clinical expertise.
