The Alumni Association of Sri Ramakrishna College of Physiotherapy (PAAR) was formally inaugurated on 3rd January 2016 at the Auditorium, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital Campus, Coimbatore. The event marked a significant milestone in strengthening the relationship between the institution and its alumni while creating a platform for professional networking, collaboration, and academic engagement among graduates.
The inaugural ceremony witnessed the enthusiastic participation of faculty members, alumni, students, and healthcare professionals. The association was established with the objective of fostering lifelong connections with alumni, encouraging knowledge exchange, supporting career guidance initiatives, and promoting the overall growth of the physiotherapy profession.
The event was graced by Dr. N. Manikandan, Associate Professor, School of Allied Health Sciences (SOAHS), Manipal University, Manipal, who served as the Resource Person for the program. During his address, he highlighted the evolving scope of physiotherapy practice, the importance of evidence-based rehabilitation, and the growing need for professional collaboration in modern healthcare systems.
A special scientific session on “Electro Diagnosis and Recent Advances in Hemiplegic Management” was also conducted as part of the inaugural program. The session provided valuable insights into advanced physiotherapy assessment and rehabilitation techniques for neurological conditions, particularly hemiplegia. Participants benefited from the expert discussions, practical perspectives, and updated clinical approaches shared during the session.
The inauguration of PAAR laid a strong foundation for continued alumni engagement and reflected the institution’s commitment to building a vibrant and professionally connected physiotherapy community.
